Nascott was founded in 1985 at the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington, DC. We have grown to five convenient offices that are located in and around Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD areas. Since then we have been providing premiere adult and pediatric Prosthetic, Orthotic and Pedorthic services.
We are accredited by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics (ABC). Our practitioners are certified in C-Leg, Rheo Knee, Proprio Foot, WalkAide, Boston Scoliosis Brace, Boston Band Cranial Helmets and Dynamic Movement Orthoses (DMO) and more (see Services Provided). We have measured and fit for the iLimb hand.
We have been hand selected, by Boston Brace, as the only orthotic and prosthetic vendor in the Washington DC/Baltimore areas to provide Dynamic Movement Orthosis-a lycra based orthotic to help support and strengthen abnormal muscle tone.
Nascott practitioners have been featured on WMAR-TV, WBAL radio and ABC2 News. We also support and participate in the Diabetic Limb Salvage Conference held annually in Washington DC. In addition, we support the Georgetown University Hospital Wound Care Clinic run by Dr. Christopher Attinger.
Several practitioners provide orthotic and prosthetic lectures to resident physicians and to graduating physical therapists. We are truly seen as the expert and resource guide in the orthotic and prosthetic industry.
