Prosthetics

Prosthetic devices are externally applied devices used to replace an absent or deficient body part.

At Nascott Orthotics & Prosthetics we offer a wide range of options for everyone in need of a prosthetic device.

A prosthetist is a patient-care practitioner involved in the science and art of prosthetics; one who designs, builds and fits artificial limbs.

Nascott prosthetists work with patients to get them back to their activities of daily living.

 Our practitioners:

  • Assist physicians in formulating prescriptions, examining and evaluating the patient's needs.
  • Design, select materials and components, and build prostheses.
  • Make all necessary casts, measurements, model modifications and layouts.
  • Perform fittings, alignments and adjustments.
  • Evaluate the prosthesis on the patient and instruct the patient in its use
